Sustainable Commitment
Cullinan Namibia is committed to conservation efforts and charitable initiatives. As part of Cullinan Holdings, we know that travel is a powerful instrument for change, and that it is our responsibility to protect the places we explore.
Namibia has the proud heritage of being the first country in Africa to incorporate protection of the environment into its constitution. The efforts of the country’s conservancies and non-profit organisations, together with government support, have seen lion, cheetah, black rhino, zebra and other wildlife populations successfully restored; while ecotourism initiatives across the board have generated sustainable incomes among numerous communities.
To embody this spirit, Cullinan Namibia is committed to giving back to the communities and environments in which we operate; to create awareness around conservation in Namibia and to provide experiences that allow for a deeper understanding of our country’s history and culture.
We know that travel is a powerful instrument for change, and that it is our responsibility to protect the places we explore, which is why we’re committed to giving back to the communities and environments in which we operate.

The Rhino Ride
After years of calm, Namibia’s recent rhino poaching statistics paint a grim picture of a country celebrated for its conservation efforts. At the current poaching rate, rhinos may be extinct within a few years. The Rhino Ride was founded to create awareness and provide sustainable support towards the fight against rhino poaching, and offers a platform for tourism and business partners to get involved and actively contribute towards safeguarding our rhinos for our future generations.
In Namibia, The Rhino Ride project supports the large-scale anti-poaching surveillance project, The Next Generation Conservation Trust; and in South Africa, the Chipembere Rhino Foundation – a privately run, non-profit organisation committed to protecting and conserving Africa’s rhinos.
